Badan Perlindungan Pekerja-Pekerja Migran Indonesia (BP2MI) Wilayah Sumut, membuka kegiatan Rapat Koordinasi Terbatas Rakortas), di Aula Tengku Rizal Nurdin, Medan, Rabu (09/03/2022).
Kegiatan tersebut dihadiri Gubernur Sumut Edy Rahmayadi, Kepala BP2MI Benny Rhamdani, Plt. Sekretaris Utama BP2MI Ahmad Kartiko, Deputi Kawasan Amerika Pasifik BP2MI Lasro Simbolon, Forkopimda se-Sumut, serta Bupati/Wali KOta se-Sumut.
Kolaborasi antara Pemerintah Kabupaten Batu Bara dengan BP2MI, merupakan upaya Bapak Bupati Zahir untuk melindungi tenaga kerja indonesia, khususnya Kabupaten Batu Bara, yang bekerja di luar negeri. ini sesuai dengan visi Bapak Bupati Zahir, dalam mewujudkan masyarakat Kabupaten Batu Bara menjadi masyarakat industri yang sejahtera, mandiri dan berbudaya.
