Acara Seleksi dan Rekrut Calon Peserta Kegiatan Pelatihan Wira Usaha Baru di RM. Barokah sebanyak 80 orang
Diharapkan dengan adanya pelatihan WUB akan menciptakan Wirausahawan Baru yang Kreatif dan Inovatif sehingga dapat menumbuhkan/meningkatkan perekonomian di Kabupaten Batu Bara.
Kegiatan ini sebagai bukti kepedulian Pemerintah Kabupaten Batu Bara untuk mengentaskan permasalahan kemiskinan secara bertahap setiap tahunnya. Artinya tidak hanya melatih keterampilan masyarakat kurang mampu namun juga meningkatkan kemampuannya agar keluar dari garis kemiskinan.
Kemiskinan dan pengangguran dapat dipandang sebagai ketidak mampuan atau sebagai kekurangan kemampuan serta keterampilan untuk bekerja serta mencari nafkah guna menopang kehidupannya. Menyikapi persoalan kemiskinan dan pengangguran, program kewirausahaan terutama untuk penciptaan pekerja dan wirausaha baru menjadi salah satu strategi yang diharapkan dapat mengantisipasi sekaligus mengatasi terus bertambahnya angka kemiskinan serta pengangguran. Pemberdayaan wirausaha baru dapat dimaknai sebagai upaya pemberian kemampuan kepada warga masyarakat yang membutuhkan berbagai keterampilan sederhana sebagai bekal untuk bekerja atau berwirausaha.
Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk menanggulangi pengangguran dan kemiskinan di Kabupaten Batu Bara melalui pelatihan Penciptaan Wirausaha Baru yang dilakasanakan oleh Dinas Ketenagakerjaan Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kabopaten Batu Bara melalui Bidang Pelatihan dan Penempatan Tenaga Kerja, dilaksanakannya Kegiatan Penciptaan Wirausaha Baru adalah memberikan keterampilan kepada warga miskin agar mampu bertahan dalam menghadapi permasalahan ekonomi keluarga dengan memberikan pekerjaan layak bagi keluarganya serta memberikan bantuan berupa sarana usaha kepada sasaran penerima manfaat yaitu keluarga miskin.
